Dr. Catherine Pointon graduated from Smith College with a B.A. in biochemistry. She graduated in 1990 from New York Medical College where she completed both residencies in Internal Medicine and Dermatology. She was board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in 1993 and the American Board of Dermatology in 1996. She became re-certified in Dermatology in 2006. Dr. Pointon is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Medical Association, North Carolina Dermatology Association and North Carolina Medical Society. She’s been in private practice since 1996 and has been practicing in Charlotte, NC since 1998. Dr. Pointon specializes in all aspects of general medical and pediatric dermatology. She’s also proficient in Spanish.

Tosha Standifer

Tosha Standifer

LICENSED AESTHETICIAN, CMA

Tosha has 10 years of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant, all of which have been spent with us at Dermatology Practice of the Carolinas. She is now a licensed aesthetician with extensive training in microdermabrasion, chemical peels, rejuvenating facials, acne facials. She specializes in Revision, Epionce, SENTÉ and Obagi products. Tosha is committed to providing quality care and enjoys helping her patients achieve life-changing improvements to the quality and health of their skin

Rebecca Lee Strunk-Lail

Rebecca Lee Strunk-Lail

MPAS, PA-C

Rebecca Strunk-Lail is a board-certified dermatology physician assistant who completed her B.S. in Health Sciences from James Madison University. She is a graduate of James Madison University’s Physician Assistant program where she received her Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree.

Rebecca is board-certified by the National Commission of Physician Assistants. She began her career as a dermatology physician assistant in Charlotte. She has years of experience in the evaluation and management of medical and surgical dermatologic conditions, with a focus on general dermatology, acne, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, and skin cancer screening and prevention in adults and pediatrics.

She values strong patient relationships that are based on trust, openness, communication, and education. Rebecca is an active member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

When Rebecca isn’t working, she enjoys running and spending time with her husband, her Great Dane, and her Yorkshire Terrier.

Julie Davis

Julie Davis

RN BSN INJECTION SPECIALIST

Julie Davis is a Registered Nurse with a BSN from UNC-Greensboro who comes
to us with 25 years of in depth hands on patient care experience. At the
beginning of her nursing career she worked in the Pediatric-ICU and
Neonatal-ICU for over 10 years. About 16 years ago, she transitioned to
aesthetic injections. She approaches each patient with extreme care,
concern and compassion and tailors each visit to meet her patient’s needs
and goals.

Julie has been married 24 years this year. She has 3 teenage boys and 4
amazing pups. She continues to enhance her knowledge and skills by
participating in advanced training in dermal fillers, Botox and other
injectable products.
